Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was a war between North and South Vietnam, each of which was backed by numerous other powers, making it a proxy war. Forrest Gump served in the United States Army during this war. During the course of his deployment, he saved numerous of his comrades, even when injured by a gunshot wound to the buttock. For his actions, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
