Forrest Gump finds himself in Savannah, Georgia in both the Forrest Gump novel and film.

In the film[edit | edit source]

In the film, Forrest is invited to Savannah by Jenny Curran. While waiting at a bus stop, he narrates the story of his life up to that point to the various people sitting beside him: this takes up the majority of the film. Eventually one lady tells him that the street Jenny's road is on is a short walk away, and he rushes over to find Jenny, along with a boy, who Jenny reveals to be Forrest's son, who is also named Forrest.
