In the novel Gump & Co., Forrest Gump is briefly shown to encounter Hinckley. When he is jailed for contempt of Congress as a result of his testimony regarding the Iran–Contra affair, he is placed in a cell with "a forger, a child molester, a dynamite bomber, an some nut called Hinckley who is always talkin about the actress Jodie Foster."[1]
