The "Ape Dorm" is Forrest Gump's dormitory at the University of Alabama. It is a "nice brick building" on the outside, but horrendous on the inside: dirt everywhere, doors and windows broken, newspapers across the floors, toilets ripped out leaving only holes in the ground for use.
