Alice Hopewell is the seductive wife of Alfred Hopewell, the vice president of the CokeCola Company. She invites encyclopedia distributor Forrest Gump into her house to entice him to massage her. While there, Forrest accidentally creates a derivative of New Coke that tastes better, and is compelled by Mr. Hopewell to come to Atlanta to reproduce it.

Mrs. Hopewell accompanies her husband and Forrest to Atlanta, and continues to request massages from Forrest. She is present at the public New Coke reveal, and her dress is ripped off in the ensuing violence.
